Bahrain: Toyota Plaza to open
Posted: 20-05-2009 , 08:02 GMT

toyotaEK Kanoo and Toyota had a successful Formula 1 season indeed. Prior to the Bahrain Grand Prix, they launched the “Spirit of Champions” challenge, in which over 3500 participants entered for a chance to win a brand new Camry GLX 2009 for one year. The challenge grand finale, which concluded on Thursday, 23rd of April, at EK Kanoo’s main showroom in Sitra in front of a crowd of racing enthusiasts, was made even more exciting as attendees were treated to an appearance from Team Toyota’s Formula 1 drivers Jarno Trulli and Timo Glock, who signed autographs and posed for pictures with their fans. The pair would go on to record the two top qualifying times during the race’s time trials, with Trulli securing his place on the podium after finishing third overall during Sunday’s thrilling race.

EK Kanoo is following up that triumph with announcing that Toyota Plaza, GCC largest Automotive Center, will be operational very soon. Toyota Plaza is designed to be a state-of-the art one-stop shop for all the requirements of Toyota and Lexus users in the Kingdom of Bahrain. This addition further bolsters Toyota’s leading presence in Bahrain, which currently operates 6 service and 8 spare part centers located all around the Kingdom, and is in line with EK Kanoo’s steadfast commitment to providing the best possible level of customer service.

Mr. Ayman Shehadeh, Toyota & Lexus Brand Manager, said Toyota Plaza represents a true upward shift in the level of services provided and, “enables us to provide numerous exclusive benefits to our customers, whereby we will be able to meet all their automotive needs with complete ease and peace of mind under one roof for a truly unique experience.”

The sprawling complex will feature a massive workshop equipped with the very latest maintenance and diagnostic machinery. The workshop, which is capable of servicing 350 cars at the same time, is complemented with a full range of automotive service facilities, such as a small Toyota and Lexus showroom and accessories store, testing area, spare parts and tire service center, car wash and polish center, Toyota F1 accessories, a café, a six-storey car park for 400 cars.

In addition to Toyota Plaza, EK Kanoo also plans to open a number of other facilities, including a brand new Lexus showroom and service center in Arad.
